Discover. Design. Build.

Calling all young creators! At 3D Design Explorers, students will dive into the exciting world of 3D design using Tinkercad—a fun, kid-friendly platform used by designers and engineers around the world. Campers will go from beginners to confident digital creators as they explore how shapes, measurements, and imagination come together to build incredible 3D models.

Through engaging, hands-on activities like designing their own treasure chests, maze puzzles, treehouses, and even theme park rides, students will learn core design skills including alignment, symmetry, layering, and grouping. They’ll experiment with text tools, shape generators, and custom drawings, all while building spatial reasoning, problem-solving, and creativity.

Each day offers a blend of skill-building and creative freedom, with plenty of room for imagination and personal flair. By the end of the week, every student will have a collection of unique 3D creations—and a final showcase project they’ll be proud to share.

No prior experience needed—just curiosity and a love for building!

What students will gain:

  • Foundational 3D design and CAD skills

  • Hands-on experience with digital tools used by real-world designers

  • Confidence in problem-solving, measurement, and creative thinking

  • A digital portfolio of fun, original 3D projects

  • A certificate of completion to celebrate their hard work
