At Math Explorers Camp, we bring math to life through hands-on challenges, interactive problem-solving, and real-world applications. Designed for curious young minds, this camp makes math an exciting journey, showing how it connects to everyday life, sports, art, and logic.

What Makes This Camp Special?

  • Engaging & Hands-On – Children will participate in puzzles, team challenges, and creative problem-solving activities.
  • Real-Life Applications – From sports analytics to budgeting, children will see math in action.
  • Collaborative & Social – Working in teams, they will develop critical thinking and communication skills.
  • A Mix of Activities – Interactive group tasks combined with strategic thinking exercises ensure well-rounded learning.

What Will Kids Do?

Problem-Solving & Logical Thinking

  • Math Mystery Escape Room – Solve logic puzzles and number-based riddles to unlock the final challenge.
  • Secret Codes & Ciphers – Crack coded messages using number sequences and mathematical reasoning.
  • Math Relay Races – Compete in a fast-paced challenge where teams solve quick math problems at checkpoints.

Geometry & Spatial Awareness

  • Giant Tangrams Challenge – Construct large tangram designs to explore geometry and spatial reasoning.
  • Symmetry & Fractals Art – Discover the connection between math and art by creating symmetry-based designs.
  • Lego Geometry – Build and experiment with 3D structures, volume, and angles using Lego bricks.

Probability, Data, and Sequences

  • Basketball Probability – Track shooting stats and analyze real-life probabilities.
  • Math Scavenger Hunt – Solve math puzzles hidden around the camp to complete an interactive quest.
  • Jump & Count Challenge – Use movement-based activities to explore number sequences and patterns.

Real-World Math Applications

  • Mini Market Challenge – Practice budgeting, addition, and subtraction through a role-play shopping activity.
  • The Great Measurement Race – Measure, estimate, and compare real-world data in a fun, fast-paced challenge.

Strategy & Review Activities

  • Math Board Games – Engage in math-based games like Bingo and the 24 Game to sharpen mental math skills.
  • Math Jeopardy Showdown – Review key math concepts through a competitive team quiz.
  • Treasure Hunt: The Final Quest – Solve a final series of math challenges to uncover a hidden treasure.

Technology Integration

Technology will be used selectively for activities where they enhance learning and engagement, such as interactive probability simulations and creative graphing challenges, while keeping hands-on experiences the focus of the camp. All camps are conducted in English.

PM Camps are available for campers who prefer to join a full-day camp from 9:00 - 15:30 (AM + PM Camp). Please note that students will be required to bring a packed lunch and healthy snacks each day of the program, and there will be no access to refrigeration or microwaves. Staff members will supervise children during the lunch break, which will take place from 12:00 to 12:30.

"Eloise attended the Multi-Activity camp and had a fantastic time. She is at Local school in SG and after mixing with the international school crowd I could see her grow in confidence and she was more independent after camp. She can't wait for the next holiday!"

Coordinate Plane:

In this coordinate plane activity, children took on an exciting journey through the coordinate plane! They explored fun, real-life applications to reinforce their understanding of these essential concepts.

They mapped out locations, plotted points, and even analyzed GPS coordinates to better understand navigation. It was amazing to see them connect math to real-world scenarios, making the learning experience both enjoyable and memorable!

Real-life Ratio:

Campers had an engaging experience as they explored real-life ratios in a practical context. They tackled the question of which gas to buy, diving into the numbers and comparing prices and efficiencies. This hands-on approach not only made math more relatable but also illustrated how ratios play a crucial role in everyday decision-making.
